Jakarta warns its visa changes could lure asylum-seekers to Australia

The first two asylum-seeker boats of 2012 are en route to Christmas Island as Indonesia warns its visa changes could send a fresh wave of boatpeople to Australia.  As negotiations between Australia’s government and opposition to reinstate offshore processing remain at an impasse, two boats carrying 51 asylum-seekers were intercepted yesterday.
